William Way LGBT Community Center
The William Way Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center was established in 1996 to serve the LGBT community through various programs and opportunities in the Philadelphia area. The Center sponsors important programs like Alcoholics Anonymous, enrichment courses, discussion groups, social events and educational seminars. This is the 4th consecutive year that the Sapphire Fund has chosen the Center as a beneficiary. Visit website
Calcutta House
Calcutta House exists to serve people with AIDS and to support the self-empowerment of each person to live as fully as their situation permits. Calcutta House provides supportive housing with services responsive to the individual: those who are dying, those who are able to rebuild their lives and move on to independence, and those who will continue to require the assistance of supportive housing. GALAEI
GALAEI is devoted to creating an awareness of the issues affecting Philadelphia's Latino, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities. GALAEI's work focuses on improving the quality of life for all Latinos and LGBT people, especially in the area of HIV/AIDS and other health-related issues, and seeks to demand accountability from all systems that serve them. Mountain Meadow
Mountain Meadow creates a safe and supportive community where children of LGBTQ families are empowered to affirm and appreciate family diversity. Through the cultivation of multi-generational relationships, Mountain Meadow enhances communication skills and cultural acceptance while providing programming specific to awareness and celebration of non-traditional families and their allies. Mountain Meadow instills our children with the confidence to be competent in the face of ignorance and intolerance.
